Book Description and Price

The seventh edition is a four volumes set, in comb bindings, and printed on 24 lbs acid free paper.  Book size is 8.5” by 5.5”, with  over 1700 condensed pages. Volumes 1, 3 and 4 are illustrated in black and white, and volume 2 is illustrated in colour.

An encyclopaedic reference work.

Introduction to the Seventh Edition

In this edition, expansion has taken place in almost all of the major sections of the book, and other complimentary sections have been added, in the on-going attempt to provide the most complete and detailed picture of all areas relating to the blade industry and the culture it fostered, and the culture that supported it. The TM section, the SA section, the Edged Weapon ID section, and the RZM section have each almost doubled in length, and will provide the reader with a still wider base for research.

Concerns about the steadily increasing number of reproductions offered on the market, has spurred a push to provide more indicators of what identifies a reproduction, and how it differs from the genuine article. Recognition can only occur if one sees through what one knows.

Collecting is an adventure in searching for the elusive find; it is hoped that these volumes will provide an adventure in finding the elusive.
